Indian Canyons Golf Resort

Surrounded on three sides by breathtaking, colorful, natural mountain vistas, sheltered from the wind and nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains lies the jewel of the desert, Indian Canyons Golf Resort. This 36 hole resort is uniquely positioned to offer you an unrivaled golf experience in the Greater Palm Springs Area.

The facility offers two very distinctively different golf courses and each is a reflection of its time.
The South Course is an 18-hole championship course that was Redesigned by Casey O'Callaghan in 2004 along with consultant, Amy Alcott, LPGA Hall of Famer. This par 72, 6,582 yard championship course has four large lakes that come into play on six of the holes, but the most extraordinary feature are the 5 five par holes. The course also features rolling mounds and fairways and more than 850 palm trees, including some 500 Washingtonia filifera palm trees native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important tree in the history of the Tribe.
The North Course is a par 72, 6,943 yard course that was designed by well known architect, William P. Bell and is heavily steeped in tradition. This classically designed course meanders through Palm Springs' stylish “Canyon” region which boasts a wide array of authentic mid-century modern homes and stunning mountain views. The course is brought to life by thousands of palm, olive and other native trees. The course has six challenging water hazards the largest which is located between the 9th and 18th holes and hosts the course's visual centerpiece, the historic Walt Disney fountain which shoots water jets over 100 feet high.

O'Donnel Golf Club

Located in downtown Palm Springs, O'Donnell is the oldest golf course in the Coachella Valley.

O'Donnell uniquely combines challenging golf with a casual, relaxing atmosphere in the heart of downtown Palm Springs

Beautiful vistas and impeccable conditions make this a truly fun course to play .

O' Donnell Golf Club was built by Thomas A. O'Donnell, an oilman who came to Palm Springs in the mid-1920s. He purchased the land upon which the O'Donnell Course is now built in two parcels, in May and December of 1925. Mr. O'Donnell also purchased 750 shares of Whitewater Mutual Water Company and helped it bring fresh water 14 miles from Whitewater Canyon to the desert before anyone knew there was water under the drifting sands of Palm Springs Village.

He bought property at the corner of Stevens Road and North Palm Canyon Drive and built a reservoir through which Whitewater Mutual routed its pipeline to the area that was to become the golf course. The reservoir also acted as a desalting basin. Mr. O'Donnell was one of the five incorporators of Whitewater Mutual Water Company, which was incorporated on May 5, 1927. The other four were Preseott T. Stevens, J.J. Kocher, A.F. Hicks and Warren B. Pinney.

In 1927 Mr. O'Donnell then carefully planned and, in the next few years, built at his own expense our beautiful golf course with its magnificent palm trees, oleanders and tamarisks, and its green carpet of Bermuda and rye grasses. The course never has been allowed to die during all the years since it was constructed and now forms the cushioned turf so greatly appreciated by our golfing members and guests. The greens are bent grass, which during the summer, are a challenge to maintain. The course includes nine holes with two tee positions for each hole and is SCGA rated. O'Donnell Golf Club is also very unique in that there are no "tee" times. One can just come out and play.

After operating the golf course for more than fifteen years at his own expense, Tom O'Donnell in 1944 organized O'Donnell Golf Club as a private, non-profit club to which he gave a 99-year lease for the golf course, the reservoir property and the 750 shares of Whitewater Mutual stock.
